This past June 14th Mission Hill Main Streets hosted its Annual Awards Night. Part of that event is announcing Mission Hill's selections as Business of the Year and Volunteer of the Year along with our Great Neighbor, Outstanding Public Official, Golden Broom, Inspiration for Youth and the Kevin Fitzgerald Friend of Mission Hill Award. Subsequently, two weeks later the Boston Main Streets Awards recognizes an outstanding business owner and an outstanding volunteer from each of the 20 districts. This year Mayor Walsh will be doing something different than an awards ceremony, and instead will launch "Mayor on Main."
Mayor Martin J. Walsh will lead trolleys to 12 Main Streets districts in Boston, and will be joined by representatives of Boston Main Streets foundations and boards, and members of his cabinet. In each district, Mayor Walsh will visit many of the business award recipients at their place of business and/or in their respective Main Streets districts to recognize outstanding business owners and volunteers to celebrate the 21st Boston Main Streets awards.
You are cordially invited to join with Mayor Walsh and Mission Hill Main Streets tomorrow June 28th at 2:00 PM to celebrate with and honor Andres Cruz, owner of AC Hardware at 1562 Tremont Street (at St. Alphonsus Street) as our 2017 Business of the Year and Eric Alden, owner of Longwood Properties, the 2017 Volunteer of the Year.
