Legislative Update
This week:
 

This week the House worked to pass the Budget to the Senate.

Pro-life Highlights of the Budget are in HB 5 and HB 7.

 

In HB 5 the House funded the Alternatives to Abortion Program as follow:

From General Revenue Fund. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .$2,033,561

From Federal Funds... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 50,000

For the alternative to abortion public awareness program:

From General Revenue Fund  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 75,000 

Total . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $2,158,561   

 

In HB 7, Dept. of Economic Development Appropriations. The House placed the pro-life language on one portion of the bill that prevents public tax dollars from being used for abortion services, human cloning or human embryonic stem cell research for projects chosen by the Missouri Technology Corporation for these specific appropriations.

 

All Budget Bills now move to the Senate for Consideration.

The Budget must be truly agreed and finally passed by 6:00 p.m. on May 8, 2015.

March 17 -- Jefferson City -- Bott Radio Network will sponsor the "Show Me Your Glory Lord" prayer service for all Missouri Legislators and Public Officials at the Missouri State Capitol starting at 10 am.
