Happy Father's Day!
"A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society." -Billy Graham.

Thank you to all fathers for the hard work you do to support, protect and be an example to your children and grandchildren. Thank you, above all, for accepting your role as father - a difficult task in our society which belittles the vocation through rampant abortion on demand.

It's All About the Definition of Perfect
The recent letter from a mother of a down syndrome child to her doctor who pressured her to abort has brought about much thought and discussion on the issue. Not everyone was supportive of the mother. When you get right down to it, each person's reaction is based on how they define perfect.

Many people define perfect in purely human, worldly terms. In their eyes, most people only have 46 chromosomes and therefore anyone with 47 must be imperfect. But scripture tells us that we are to "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." And, how are we to be this kind of perfect?  We must love as the Father loves. "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven."

By this definition, little Emersyn probably has a much greater chance of attaining perfection than those of us with 46 chromosomes.
