Highlights of the Week:
HB 190 - The abortion clinic inspection bill which changes the laws regarding the protection of women's health care. Executive Session was Held in the Senate Veterans' Affairs and Health Committee on Thursday, April 23rd. HB 190 Voted Do Pass. Sponsor: Kathy Swan

SB 24 - Awaiting Governor's Action......CCS HCS SS #2 SCS SB 24 which modifies provisions of law relating to the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. SB 24 includes the additional 2% of funding for the Alternatives to Abortion Program that will add an additional $4.3 million for the Alternatives to Abortion Programs to spend each year. Missouri Right to Life supported this additional funding. Sponsors: Sen. David Sater and Rep. Diane Franklin

Calls Still Needed on SB 466 & 422 - Simon's Law
Please call President Pro-Tem Tom Dempsey and Senator Eric Schmitt and let them know that you would like them to pass SB 466 & 422, Simon's Law to ensure that do-not-resuscitate orders are not placed in a minor child's medical file without the parent's knowledge. Be sure and thank them for working to pass this bill!
