Happy Labor Day!

Whether you work as an activist in many capacities for Missouri Right to Life, or volunteer at a Pregnancy Resource Center, or pray on the sidewalk, or work in your local communities to educate people about the deceptions of abortion, you are offering up a labor of love for women in crisis pregnancies. You are letting people know that there are programs out there like Alternatives to Abortion to help women and families choose life for unborn babies.

Keep it up Pro-Life Missourians! You are saving innocent human lives! Thank you for all your work!
MRL Announces New Executive Director

Patty Skain
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce Susan Klein as the new Executive Director of Missouri Right to Life. Patty Skain will continue as the Assistant to the Executive Director as she goes part-time to care for her grandchildren.

Susan Klein came to Missouri Right to Life in 1997 to serve as Executive Director and has served as Chief Lobbyist for many years.  Susan will continue to serve as Chief Lobbyist as she leads Missouri Right to Life as our Executive Director.

Susan Klein
Susan speaks out in media interviews, leads many teaching and speaking engagements, works out language on legislation and testifies at House and Senate hearings.  Susan knows every aspect of the political process and has been instrumental in the writing and passage of all the pro-life laws passed since 1997.  Susan ran for State Representative in the 90's with the intent to make a difference in public policy that affects the citizens of the State of Missouri.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Central Missouri.

We look forward to many more successes as we all work together to protect innocent human lives from inception to natural death!
Pro-Life Censorship at St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Last Saturday the St. Louis Post-Dispatch ran a letter-to-the-editor from MRL President Steve Rupp. But the letter was censored.

He wrote that Planned Parenthood's annual report shows that over 50% of their revenue is from abortions. The paper changed that to "a quarter of its revenue."

When asked about the censorship the Post responded by calling it "editing" because he is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts. However, their figure came from an article they found on the Internet, whereas Mr. Rupp's figure came from PP's own Annual Report.

Let the record show that Mr. Rupp did not write 25% in his initial letter.
