Legislative Update

January 15, 2016 

2016 Priority Legislation:
  • Expanding Abortion Clinic Inspections, Accountability for Disposal of Baby Body Parts,  Ensure no selling or buying of baby body parts is happening in Missouri from in state abortion clinics, and ensure that any publicly funded state institution is not buying baby body parts from out of state abortion clinics with our tax dollars, Accountability for licensing of abortionists and abortion facilities as well as oversight of connections between abortion facilities and public institutions.
  • Ban Dismemberment Abortions.
  • Defund Planned Parenthood.
At this time there have been 357 bills and 37 various resolutions filed in the Senate. And, there have been 908 bills and 59 various resolutions filed in the House.

Roe v. Wade Memorial Mass
Every year in January the St. Louis Respect Life Apostolate gathers to remember all the babies who have died and all those whose lives continue to be affected by the effects of abortion and Roe v. Wade.

The Memorial Mass for 2016 will be Saturday, January 16th at 9:30 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica. It will be preceded by a Rose Procession of volunteers to honor their peers lost to abortion since 1973.

News from the Mo Right to Life Lincoln County Chapter
On January 5, the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners signed a proclamation designating January 22, 2016 as a day of memoriam of the 43rd anniversary of the Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision and the nearly 58 million abortions performed since 1973.

Members and supporters of the Missouri Right to Life Lincoln County Chapter were present to observe Commissioners Matt Bass, Daniel Colbert and Eugene Galloway sign the proclamation.
