A free workshop for Brattleboro area nonprofits:

 

This hands-on, interactive lunchtime workshop will help us understand both the power of smart phone marketing and the ease of doing it ourselves.  Join BCTV for this learning opportunity. Presented free of charge thanks to the A.D. Henderson Foundation. 

 

The workshop will be streamed live from Channel 17 in Burlington to BCTV's Studio. Participants may submit questions and comments via email.

Cisco predicts online videos will capture 90% of Internet traffic by 2013. Email marketing campaigns have been shown to be more effective when mixed with video-chances of a customer closing a sale after watching product videos are 85%. Mobile videos have been voted the most effective form of learning by next generation workers. According to recent stats, an average 1-minute video is equal to 180,000 words. 
 
 

By attending this workshop you will:

  • Understand the pillars of strategic communications to help you determine the most appropriate use for short form and mobile video.
  • Review examples of effective short form/ mobile video to inspire you to think of new ways to telling stories.
  • Gain an overview of the variety of online/ mobile video tools/ formats to help you tell that story.
  • Gain a working understanding of how to use most common mobile video applications (e.g. Mix Bit).
  • Learn about alternative distribution outlets.
  • Practice producing a short mobile video on your device.
  • Share your work!
