VERY IMPORTANT Sacramento 40 DAYS FOR LIFE MEETING- tomorrow, Monday, July 7th, at 7:00 pm at Cornerstone Community Church.  I need everyone to please come and help, as I now will be working on a new statewide pro-life responsibility!   Register your city for the 40 Days for Life today!

Thursday, all four abortion businesses in Sacramento had people peacefully standing outside, praying for life and offering help!  I received the photo below from the Sidewalk Counselors who were praying at the "Family Planning Associates" abortion business at 2322 Butano, where Presentation Parish has been for over a year, offering life-affirming help to women, family members, and friends as customers enter for abortions each Thursday morning.

A young woman came downstairs saying "I took off my gown and got off the table, changing my mind, deciding NOT to go through with my abortion.  I've decided to keep my baby!" What a difference your prayers and your presence makes!  See the photo below of this huge answer to prayer!

Please come to our Sacramento 40 Days for Life planning meeting tomorrow night, Monday, July 7th at 7:00 pm at Cornerstone Community Church, 3245 Cottage Way, Sacramento. Send me (wynette) an email if you are able to attend, so that we can make sure we have enough refreshments and materials. We need everyone to help!  We need every church represented, so please make sure at least someone comes from your church!   I am now working for a statewide pro-life effort, so I need everyone to fill in for me here in Sacramento.  If you live outside of Sacramento and would like to have/start a 40 Days for Life ministry in your community, registration for the fall campaign continues through July 22nd. The Fall 40 Days for Life is September 24th through November 2nd.  California has more 40 Days for Life cities than any other state and we want to increase that number!  Email me (wynette) if you have any questions or if I can help your community in any way to start a 40 Days for Life!  Every abortion business should have people standing in front, offering hope, love, encouragement, help, and support for women who might be considering abortion.

As of June 10th, I am now working on a statewide

effort to bring about a Culture of Life and to end abortion throughout CA. This new assignment will take all of my time and focus, including travel commitments.  Therefore, I will need to step down from directing the Sacramento 40 Days for Life.  I am writing to ask for your prayerful reflection about how might you step forward to help sustain the 40 Days for Life presence here in our community.    Please come to a very important Sacramento 40 Days for Life planning meeting tomorrow evening, Monday, July 7th at 7:00 pm at Cornerstone Community Church, 3245 Cottage Way. I need everyone to step forward to help fill the gap.  Registration for the Fall 40 Days for Life ends soon and we won't be able to register unless we have a team in place.  The Fall 40 Days for Life will be September 24th- November 2nd.

While we plan for the fall 40 Days,  the need for a peaceful, prayerful life-saving presence continues year-round at 1442 Ethan Way.  I will be traveling the state, meeting with other pro-life leaders, most of July, so please come to the Sidewalk to fill in on Wednesdays (which is led by the Presbyterians for Life), Thursdays and Fridays, 9-11 am, which is when abortion-decisions are being made.

Just think if every church pledged to come pray for LIFE just an hour a week! The Sidewalk would be full and our community would be transformed!

Mark your calendars now for the Fall 40 Days for Life Kick-Off Celebration at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, Sunday, September 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.   Email Amy if you have any questions about the Kick-Off.  Amy and Tanya have created a beautiful website for the Kick-Off!

You have probably heard reports about the recent Supreme Court decision in favor of Hobby Lobby, Sanctity of Life, and Religious Freedom! See a good summary here.

This Supreme Court decision is about Religious Freedom and narrowly overturns a specific element of President Obama's mandate ,which would have forced employers to provide Abortion-causing drugs.  This Supreme Court decision is NOT about restricting contraception use in general.  Of all the contraceptive methods available, the Hobby Lobby decision is only focused on these FOUR chemicals/devices because they can cause abortions:
Plan B ("The Morning After Pill")
Ella (a similar type of "emergency contraception")
Copper Intra-Uterine Device
IUD with progestin
Rather than preventing sperm and ova from uniting, which would be the definition of contra-ception, these chemicals/devices either kill human beings when they are at the zygote stage of development or prevent a zygote from implanting in utero, whereupon the newly formed human being dies.   Hobby Lobby does NOT prevent their employees from using contraception. Hobby Lobby simply does NOT want to be forced to pay for these abortion-causing drugs/devices through their family-owned business'  insurance policy.  Employees who want to use these chemicals/devices can still buy them with their own money, but with this Supreme Court decision, employers will NOT be forced  to pay for these abortion-causing products. Hence, this Supreme Court decision gives everyone FREEDOM, which is celebrated by every American this 4th of July weekend!

Support and thank your local Hobby Lobby stores for standing strong for LIFE and Religious Freedom!   FYI: We received notice that angry protesters plan to rally AGAINST  Hobby Lobby in Elk Grove next Friday evening, July 11th, at 6:30 pm, 9149 E. Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove.  If you are interested in being a voice for LIFE and Religious Freedom, show up to support Hobby Lobby that evening!

Rachel's Vineyard weekend retreats are a beautiful opportunity for any person who has struggled with the emotional or spiritual pain of an abortion. The retreat is a very specific process designed to help an individual experience the mercy and compassion of God. It is also an opportunity to surface and release repressed feelings of anger, shame, guilt and grief. There are many exercises to help someone grieve the loss of his or her unborn child and to receive and accept God's forgiveness. The retreat concludes with a Memorial Resurrection Service. The weekend will help individuals find their soul and transform the pain of the past into love and hope.

On June 18th, Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, hosted a fundraiser at the California Museum downtown.  About 60 pro-life supporters showed up with signs as the abortion donors entered the $$$$ fundraiser.  The venue was surrounded by glass windows, so the abortion donors had no choice but to see our signs throughout the evening.  We had more pro-life supporters than they had abortion donors.  Thank you to everyone who participated!
