We have been serving over 110 families a week with a
record high of 130
last week.

We are trying to find a place to relocate the food pantry.  The challenge is that we need to have an anchor church on the property as the city does not allow for a standalone food pantry.

Our requirements are
  • Seating for 100
  • Parking for at least 75
  • Space for 3 deep freezers at a minimum.
  • Ability to serve Monday - Friday during the day and Monday evenings.
  • Kitchen if possible to prepare and serve a hot meal on Monday Evenings.
  • Suitable storage for food items - approximately 500 sq. ft.

In addition we must leave behind the shelving, fridges and freezers.  The shelving and freezers are the most important.  If anyone has any leads for donation - please contact Br. Tim.

To date all our of donations go directly to feed our clients.

To Our Friends and Family:

Due to the purchase of the Mosaic Campus, located at 28 & 30 Harpersville Road in Newport News, VA by Hobby Lobby, Rivers Cross Anglican Church and its ministries must relocate to another location.  We will be leaving by Saturday, August 31, 2013.

All Generations Church, acting as agent for the Potomac Council of Assembly of God church who has leased the property from Hobby Lobby, will not be renewing the lease of Rivers Cross Anglican Church and its subsequent ministries in order to make way for their new ministry, the Peninsula Dream Center for short term refuge and long term restoration to the homeless, at-risk and underserved communities.

These ministries include LivingStone Monastery and its guest house ministry; Five Loaves Food Pantry and Little Blessings Thrift Store.  We will attempt to relocate the ministries in an effort to reduce the impact to the people we minister too.

Five Loaves Food Pantry is looking for a location that can handle their five day a week ministry that serves approximately 3,000 meals a month through a hot meal and bags of groceries; providing food to over 300 families a month.  This partnership of over five different churches of differing denominations and other civic organizations would like to continue its mission to feed the hungry of the Harpersville and Warwick area of Newport News.

Little Blessings, closed for the summer, will hopefully be able to open this fall in partnership with the Five Loaves Food Pantry and continue its mission of clothing children and pregnant women.

LivingStone Monastery, on location since 2004, will attempt to find another location to carry out its personal and group ministries.  It is with a sad heart that we must, what we hope to be short term, cancel our agreement with Red Cross to house disaster victims and hope to partner with them again in the future.  Also, we must cancel the current reservations that we have and apologize to the churches for the inconvenience this will cause to their mission.

We ask that you pray for us as we attempt to find another location so that we can continue our unique ministry in the Hampton Roads area.
