ANNOUNCEMENTS

In the spirit of the holidays, let's give one another a gift of something to enjoy. If you are inclined, please provide a link to a website, news feed, jpeg, mpg or other digital creation (or a file that is under 5 MB for Courtney to link) that inspires you along with 2-3 sentences about why you make time to enjoy it. Send your info to Courtney by the end of December and we'll include the list in our first MM and SC of 2015. 

 

Registration for the Faculty Exchange for Teaching and Excellence will be covered by the department for all LARCP faculty. This year's focus is Motivating 21st Century Learners. You may register hereSend your invoice to Jody before the end of December and she will process all of the payments at once. 

 

The LARCP Week of Treats and Wellness will take place December 8-10 from noon-1:30 pm in 106c. The events for students include:

December 8    Holiday treats

December 9    Yoga

December 10  Massages

 

The Campus Creek specialization studio will present their design proposal during an open-house style review on Monday, December 15 from 4:30-6:00 pm in Seaton 104. All are invited and welcome to attend!

 

The APDesign Holiday Party is Thursday, December 18 at Aggie Central Station from 7-9 pm. Please RSVP by December 15 to Brianna at bsprague@ksu.edu with your name and the names of guests. 

OUR CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Stephanie Rolley, Professor and Head, represented the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board at the Council for Higher Education Accreditation recognition hearing, November 24, in Washington D.C.

 

Assistant Professor Alpa Nawre is giving a talk on her research titled "Water landscapes as laminates" at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign's Department of Landscape Architecture on December 8.

Intersession and Evening College proposals for courses offered through August are due to Global Campus on Dec. 12, 2014. Please send your proposal to Stephanie by Friday, December 5, for approval if you are interested in offering an Intersession or Evening College course. The proposal form is available here.
