For ASLA members interested in social justice: Design Workshop's Kurt Culbertson and Kathleen King convened a panel discussion at the 2014 ASLA Annual Meeting concerning the topic of environmental justice and landscape architecture.  The session was titled "Social Justice: The New Green Infrastructure" and also included Anne Spirn, Randy Hester, and Diane Jones. Many session attendees and others interested in the topic have reached out to the panel for follow-up discussions and concerns about ASLA's interest in issues of social and environmental justice. As a result of all the enthusiasm for this topic, they are petitioning the ASLA Executive Committee for the establishment of an Environmental Justice Professional Practice Network. You may read the draft petition here. Please email kking@DesignWorkshop.com and kculbertson@designworkshop.com

if you would like your name added to the petition.
