Happy Monday, friends! We pray that you are able to spend time with your family and loved ones this Thanksgiving. City Mission is thankful for wonderful donors and supporters like you!
Samaritan Care Gets a New Look
Samaritan Care is a ministry of City Mission that provides clothing, food and essential household items to those in the community who are in need of our help.

It is open weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Your donations have been essential to this ministry; in the past fiscal year, you have assisted us in providing 3,260 food bags, 8,967 clothing items and 9,913 furniture/household items to the poor and working poor of the region.

In late summer, Samaritan Care took on a new look with a fresh coat of paint and a thorough clean-up. Many different civic, school and church groups came to help with this effort and we are very thankful for their service.
82nd Birthdays at City Mission
Last Tuesday, one of our volunteers spent her 82nd birthday working at City Mission. Ruth Garber has been assisting in administration for the last eight months.

When Ruth first started volunteering here, she was coming in once a week; but now we see her four days a week! We love her desire to serve God through City Mission, her sweet smile and the fact that she spent her birthday with us! Thanks, Ruth. Happy Birthday!
Feed My Sheep

We wash a lot of dishes at City Mission! The reason is because we provide so many meals in our Feed My Sheep Dining Room. From the small kitchen pictured here, we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner each day to the homeless men, women and children who stay in our McCausland and Avis Arbor shelters, and to the needy in the community.

In the last fiscal year, we served 92,336 meals--over 15,000 more than the year before.

Search My Heart - Hillsong United - Lyrics [HD]
Hillsong United's "Search My Heart" is this week's Monday Music selection.

The lyrics say, in part: "You took the cross. You took my shame. Restored my life. Now I live to worship You."

This Thanksgiving week, we thank our Lord and Savior for His sacrifice on the cross -- and the new life we can experience through Him.

Blessings,
