Losing It for City Mission

 The Waynesburg Weight Watchers participants are getting fit, living a healthy lifestyle and helping City Mission change lives, too!
Since their clothing sizes change rapidly on their way to obtaining their personal weight loss goals, the Waynesburg Weight Watchers developed a unique way to meet their needs and the needs of those at City Mission. They decided to hold a quarterly clothing swap among participants and donate the remaining clothing items to City Mission.
Pictured to the left are of the Waynesburg Weight Watchers Leader, Keli Salisbury and her two daughters Rylee and Baylee as they carted a trunk full of clothes to donate to the Mission. What a great incentive to help yourself and others live a happy, healthy lifestyle!

Washington Financial's Customer Choice Award for City Mission

It's always a pleasure to see Susan King, of Washington Financial, and her smiling face at City Mission. Susan spreads joy wherever she goes. But last month, she had an extra special surprise for us.
Every year, Washington Financial asks it's customers to vote on which area nonprofits they would like Washington Financial to donate to. This year, as in previous years, City Mission was chosen to receive the "Customer Choice Award" and was presented with a very generous check.
What a wonderful sentiment! We are so thankful for Washington Financial and its customers for choosing us to receive such a prestigious award -- and for supporting our efforts to shelter, heal and restore the homeless in our region.
