3 gallons of milk
6 gallons of sweet tea
8 dozen chocolate chip cookies
5 bags of mixed salad
8 dozen dinner rolls
7 chicken/broccoli casseroles
50 red solo cups
50 paper plates
Friends of Refugees Christmas

Each year one of our Local Mission Partners, Friends of Refugees of Clarkston, provides a shop where parents can go and buy a Christmas gift for their child at a price that they can afford.
This year we are collecting the following items:
  • [ ] Sports Equipment (Soccer Balls, Small Soccer Goals, Basketballs, Kickballs)
  • [ ] Educational Items (Books (board, picture, ready-to-read, chapter) & Flash Cards & Puzzles)
  • [ ] Toys (Trucks, Dolls (non-white), Balls, Legos (non-themed))
  • [ ] Art Supplies (Sidewalk Chalk, Coloring Books/Crayons, Art Kits)
  • [ ] Games (Young Children's Games, Board Games, Card Games)
  • [ ] Winter Wear (Children's Coats, Jackets, Hats & Gloves) in sizes toddler thru 16
The items can be dropped off at the Wood Christmas Tree in the Gathering area between now and Sunday, December 3rd.
We will also be hosting a Christmas Party at FOR in Clarkston for the children as their parents are shopping on Saturday, December 9th from 8:30 am-12:30 pm.

Dream Center in Vidalia GA are looking for a group that would be able to help with finishing installing siding in Vidalia, Ga.  Interested teams reply directly to Larry Cowart


Beaver Ridge Elementary has fulfilled the financial obligation in order to receive the grant from KaBOOM for a new p layground for their students. While they are providing the funding and supervision of the build, they are looking for individuals from the school and community to help with the build.

There are several ways that you can serve. We will be providing breakfast the morning of the build and we do need 10 people to help serve breakfast. There are also additional opportunities throughout the day where you can serve.

Next Generation Tutoring
The Next Generation Focus Tutoring Program is offered here at our church on Tuesday/Thursday afternoons  and Saturday mornings. 

1)      Volunteers to help with the students

Nicaragua Interest Meeting

 Sunday, December  10 at 12:15pm in room 134.   This team plans to travel over Spring Break 2018 (April 1-7).  Email Shelley Carr for details and questions.

Plans for GIC 2018 are well underway. Missionaries from across the street and around the world have been invited to join us January 26-28, 2018 for a weekend of sharing and encouragement.
