Seth Kahan on Leadership // Monday Morning Mojo
Welcome to Your Club!
There are over 1,000 new domain suffixes coming to the World Wide Web. Soon the halcyon days of .com,.org, and .edu.will be gone; Instead will be bombarded by .london, .coffee. and .guitars among hundreds of others.

I signed onto GoDaddy (my favorite purveyor of domain names) and was greeted by this:
dot club
I did a search to find out more and found nic.club, which is dedicated to the dot club url suffix. Here is some of what they tell you, .Club is a new generic top level domain name that will be issued - - membership organizations and others will be able to buy .Club names such as book.club, yacht.club, OrangeCountyGolf.club or any other name with the .CLUB extension.

We are .CLUB - the ideal domain extension for the social world we live in.  The Internet has connected us in ways we never dreamed of.  Everyday, communities and groups are forming around every imaginable interest.  Whether a tribe of 2 or 2000, theres never been a better, easier time for people to come together around a common passion.  Theres never been a better time to be a part of a club. Soon youll be able to get the perfect yourname.club address a URL that has meaning and marketing value -- a URL that immediately tells the world you are about people sharing a common interest, whatever that passion may be.

These new domains are being teed up as an international movement that will take advantage of people's proclivity to associate with colleagues, peers, trades, and causes - with over 1,000 new suffixes the Internet is set to go through yet another expansion powered by a whole new set of choices. This is another new  technological aid to make it easier for everyone to network, find each other, and share what they know with other like-minded people with a common pursuit or passion.

Have you thought about expanding your own horizons dramatically? Is there a move you could make taht would open up new vistas on an exponential scale?

I decided that if I could paint that flower in a huge scale, you could not ignore its beauty.
