Benefit of Chamber Membership: Free Educational Seminar
Presented by David V. Sanker, Ph.D., Associate of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP
This overview of intellectual property law is suitable for anyone with a business and in interest in understanding how to protect the intangible assets of the business.  
  • The seminar will describe each of the four intellectual property types, including patents, trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights.  
  • The seminar will answer the practical questions of what intellectual property protection to pursue in various circumstances, and how to get that protection.  
The presenter is David V. Sanker, Ph.D., who has been an assistant professor of Mathematics, a software engineer for 12 years, and a patent attorney for the past 8 years.

2016 Board Chair installed, volunteers honored
Hacienda's James Paxson passed the gavel to Matt De Pretis of DePretis CPAs at the Chamber's annual Business Luncheon last week at Ruby Hill Golf Club.

For the second year in a row, Ken Norvell of CMIT Solutions of Pleasanton was named Ambassador of the Year. 

The Carol Bush Award for outstanding volunteer of the year went to Dr. Danielle Fratellone, Fratellone Family Chiropractic for her leadership and dedication to the Pleasanton Young Professionals over the last two years. 

Paxson presented the Chairman's Award to Todd Moberg of Insignia Desgins, referencing Moberg's leadership in bringing an added dimension to the Chamber's Ambassador Committee, where he brought a great deal of fun as well as outstanding effort to boosting the committee's role in Membership Development throughout the entire year.
Todd Moberg, Ken Norvell and Danielle Fratellone were honored last week at the luncheon.

The Chamber's Foundation Chair Jim DeMersman from Museum on Main announced Donna Colteaux as the Jenny Doehle Leadership Pleasanton Award winner, an honor bestowed upon a Leadership Pleasanton graduate who exemplifies the program's goals for community engagement.
