REV. JIM WILSON UPDATE
I got this email from Jim:

"So far things are going well.  On 4/30, I had my left kidney removed successfully.  It was removed because there were indications that cancer could develop post-transplant.  That would be catastrophic since I would be on immunosuppressant drugs for the rest of my life, which means that the kidney cancer would rapidly develop.  As a result, they will remove my right kidney as well at the time of the transplant.

My total knee replacement on 5/26 was a total success!  The first two weeks post surgery were brutal, but things have improved dramatically.  I have progressed quicker than expected.  I have lingering nerve pain, but the surgeon ensures me that the pain will improve with time.

So, what's next?  My right knee will be replaced on 9/1.  I will then repeat the healing and recovery process for 3 months.  After that, I should be in line to receive a kidney transplant anytime from Dec/Jan on.

Needless to say, there is a lot of work ahead of me, but I am feeling extremely encouraged now that the surgeries are actually taking place.

Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts, concern, and donations.  I feel very blessed!

Jim Wilson"

Please continue to keep Jim in prayer.

DELAWARE VALLEY SUMMER INSTITUTE 2015:  THERE IS NO DISABILITY IN PRAISING GOD
Disability is a reality that touches all our lives, whether in our personal experience or that of our friends and neighbors. How do we make sense of a loving, caring God that includes people with disabilities?  Joel Estes from Princeton Seminary will guide us through these questions thinking Biblically about disabilities and allowing us to be blessed by sharing our lives with those in our families, and in our churches,  who are challenged physically and intellectually.

All talks start at 7PM. Light refreshments to follow.
