THE SYMPOSIUM

The next meeting of The Symposium book club will be on Monday, March 16 at Princeton Seminary. Dinner will be in the cafeteria in Mackay Campus Center at 6 p.m. with our regular meeting to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Clarke Lounge in Erdman Hall (20 Library Place).

We have two books for discussion this month. The first will be Resurrection by Leo Tolstoy which we missed when our January meeting was cancelled. Don Urban will give the presentation. The second book is available under two titles: Through the Valley of the Kwai 1962) and To End All Wars (2001). This is Ernest Gordon's story of his experiences as a prisoner of war of the Japanese in Southeast Asia during World War II. John Potter will present this book. Both books deal with issues of Christian calling, behavior and ideals and should lead to an interesting discussion.

We look forward to seeing you. As always, we welcome visitors and guests. Dinner for first time guests will be paid for out of our treasury.

PTS ANNUAL USED BOOK SALE

The Seminary's Stewardship and Missions Committee's annual used book sale is organized and run by Princeton Seminary students to help other seminary students in developing nations broaden their theological education.  All proceeds from the book sale will benefit theological seminaries around the world. Many of these institutions are closely connected to the Seminary community. These gifts allow our colleagues around the world to build richer library collections in their own languages.

For more information about the sale, donating books, directions, or assistance with unloading large book donations, please contact [email protected].

Click here for dates and times.

The book sale will take place at the Whiteley Gymnasium.

The Whiteley Gymnasium is located at 36 Hibben Road, at the corner of Stockton Street (Route 206) in Princeton. Click here for maps and directions.
