Aaah! The lazy, hazy days of summer! July is a time when folk are slowing down,taking vacations and enjoying the sunshine. As I prepared to craft this newsletter, I thought about the word, FUN! Sometimes we are grinding so hard, that we forget to have FUN. Life is about balance. This month, let's have some FUN.
Our monthly Women of Wisdom Circle Chat will feature Tracy R. Jolly, Owner and Blogger at "Losing My Mind, Finding My Voice". We will discuss our money stories, challenges, and solutions.

Sizzling Summer Fun! | |
Anyone who knows me well, know that I love to golf. I enjoy the challenge of the game and being outdoors. Golf is not necessarily budget-friendly, but it is my form of escape. I also like just being outdoors in the summer. Here are few wallet friendly ideas to enjoy the sun...even if it's 90 degrees!
1. Take a walk in a park.
3. Enjoy an outdoor concert or a local festival.
4. Grab chair/blanket and a book and head to a great spot to read (pleasure reading, please!).
5. Go play in the water (or at least near some water).
6. Watch a sunrise or a sunset (sunrise is better!).
7. Borrow a bike and hit a bike trail.
7. Get offline with "social media" friends and schedule coffee or ice cream with "real-life" friends.
8. Gather some friends for an old school cookout and a softball game (you must blast Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff's Summertime!"
What do you do for fun and relaxation? Whatever it is, don't forget to step away from grind and enjoy! |
