St. Rose School
St. Rose Report for October 8, 2017
Dear St. Rose Families,

Pick up at the end of the day is still a point of concern for our teachers, administrators, and safety committee. If you arrive at the school for pick-up and are the first person in line, please feel empowered to open the gate to our pick-up zone anytime within 20 minutes prior to scheduled pick-up. It is safe for you to do this and it helps increase the efficiency of pick-up for everyone.

Please remember that K-4 is technically released at 2:55 p.m. (1:55 on Wednesdays) and 5-8 at 3:05 p.m. (2:05 on Wednesdays). Please try to arrive at school as close to your child's release time as you can. Arriving too soon tends to impact the ability for the pick-up line to move quickly. If you have a student who is slow to get organized at the end of the day, we encourage you to park and walk into the building to pick them up. This will help to make the pick-up line move more quickly as well.

Thank you for helping to keep the kids safe as we try to get them organized and on their way home at the end of each day.

Yours in Christ always,

Catherine Strader

Blessing of the Animals

Creatures great and small joined us on Wednesday, October 4 at 8:00 AM for a special blessing from Fr. Bryan. We had students bring in bunnies, turtles, dogs, cats, and photos of their special pets. It was a lovely event. Don't forget to view our video of the event on our Facebook page.
St. Rose students are
Christ-like in word, action, and relationships!
Virtue of the Month
The students and staff are striving to become Disciples of Christ in the world. One way we help students focus on being Christ-like in word, action, and relationship is through the Disciples of Christ Virtue Award. Students are chosen from each grade level to receive an award after Mass for demonstrating growth or accomplishment in sharing the monthly virtue with the school community. The September virtue of the month was being organized. Our Disciple of Christ winners will receive their awards after the school Mass this Thursday.
The October Disciple of Christ Virtue is being considerate.
St. Rose students are responsible citizens
