Dear Parish Pro-Life Coordinators,

Greetings! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Thanks to everyone
who participated in our Nove
mber Parish Pro-Life Coordinators meeting. It was full of good information, especially about the upcoming Roe Memorial Events on January 20, 2018.    Congratulations to our door prize winners pictured above!

This month brings two special opportunities to thank God for the precious gift of life.
As we look forward to the new year, we need your assistance in promoting our first  Roe Memorial Mass and North Texas March for Life with Bishop Edward Burns on January 20, 2018. The schedule is as follows:
Please ensure that your parish uses the following promotional materials by the weekend of January 13/14:
Please check out our website,  prolifedallas.org/roe , for additional event details and updates throughout this month.

While we plan for these upcoming events, two of our pro-life partners, are asking you keep them in mind too. Bella House is seeking full-time housemothers.  Click here for a complete job description. Mater Filius is in urgent need of volunteers. Anyone interested in helping should contact:  info@materfilius.org or (972) 836-9378.

Of course, these precious little ones we work to protect are a reminder of the birth we will soon celebrate of the Christ Child! Beginning the Church's liturgical year, Advent (from, "ad-venire" in Latin or "to come to") is the season encompassing  the four Sundays (and weekdays) leading up to the celebration of Christmas.

The Advent season is the time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ's second coming at the end of time, and to the anniversary of the Lord's birth on Christmas. The final days of Advent, from December 17 to December 24, focus particularly on our preparation for celebrations of the Nativity of our Lord (Christmas).

Advent devotions, including the Advent wreath, remind us of the meaning of the season. An Advent calendar can help you fully enter into the season with daily activity and prayer suggestions to prepare you spiritually for the birth of Jesus Christ.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry and Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thanks for all you do for Life and God bless,

David Carr
