We hope that your transition back to school is going well.

For parents, consider requesting a meeting to establish a pattern for home-school communication and a time to observe your child with various specialists at his or her school. This will help you to see what's working and will give you the opportunity to adjust what is not.

For individuals, this is is great time to practice your self-advocacy skills. For example, make sure to request your accommodations independently with your teachers after class.
