If you are considering how to recruit good junior talent for your development team then a valuable option to consider is the PEY co-op placement program through the University of Toronto.

As a Toronto based technology company we have found the PEY approach is the best fit for our needs relative to other co-op programs. This is because:
  1. Students attending U of T are already living in Toronto unlike hiring students from universities outside of Toronto.
  2. U of T is a top notch academic institution - getting in and completing a degree here is not that easy.
  3. The placements are usually for 12-16 months from May 2016 through to August 2017 which is enough time to bring students up to speed and get real work done.
  4. Since students in the program only have 1 year left to complete their degrees, if the relationship works out well there is good chance of being able to hire full time around by May 2018.
All these factors make the PEY program our favourite co-op program - some of our finest talent has come through it.

You can get more information about the program here or contact  pey@ecf.utoronto.ca
