Montwood Drive

Construction Update

Work continues on the reconstruction of Montwood Drive. Below are some of the latest milestones which have been accomplished by the contractor:

Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists who use Montwood Drive should expect traffic to remain one lane in each direction between Yarbrough to McRae

Construction workers finished installing all sanitary sewer lines and service lines to houses on Honolulu and Trinidad. They have also relocated the chain link fence from the front of Eastwood High School to the medians on McRae. This should help keep pedestrians travelling to or from Eastwood from crossing mid-block. Contractors have also begun work removing an abandoned 18-inch water main which runs on Montwood between McRae and Wedgewood.

On Windrock, contractors have completed the rockwalls on both sides of the flume and have poured the culvert walls at Stoneway. Finally, grading work continues at the bottom of the Eastwood Dam in preparation for the installation of a French drain.

Thank you again for your continued patience. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions during construction.

Sincerely,

Julian Rodriguez
