More Of You! 2/12/17

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
I AWOKE (PRAISE THE LORD FOR AWAKENING AGAIN!) tired after a good night of sleep-it seems I battled enemies ALL night in my dreams!?
I AWOKE realizing I need MORE of God in my life!!!!
As I drank my one cup of morning coffee, the above Scripture was graciously spoken to me of our Loving Heavenly Father.
I thought of my vocal teacher who is attempting to get me to expand my vocal range UPWARD.
Rather than straining to reach the higher notes, one must DECREASE in stature and muscle exertion!!!
I remembered Brother Mushegan teaching me MANY years ago, "that the higher the building, the further DEEPER one must dig.
I well remembered a vocal hero of mine, Mr. Gary McSpadden- he of Gaither Vocal Band fame and someone I personally met, singing this song-MORE OF YOU.

As if a confirmation of the FACT that I/WE need "MORE OF GOD," my dear friend and spiritual adviser Jill had just written and posted these words on FB:
"MOST OF US HAVE SEEN THOSE MOVIES where someone is lost , stranded in the desert, in need of an oasis to soothe their parched lips & scratchy dry throat only to find out what they thought was water was in fact a mirage.
I can well remember when I was thirsty, lost, wandering around in circles, needing something ....something bigger than me, something or someone to halt my circling & give me direction, to bring peace into my life, to quench a thirsting of my soul.
I was tired of mirages, tired of trying to do it on my own, tired of circling. GOD HEARD MY PLEAS.
He did then & He does today quench my thirsty soul. He opened my spiritual eyes & ears.
He is my constant companion. I know it goes against all reason but He is real & if you search for Him with all of your heart, you will find Him.
Only He can satisfy your soul. I am grateful every day for His saving grace. I didn't & couldn't earn it because it is a free gift from Him.
His only Son paid a debt He didn't owe for a debt I couldn't pay.
His ultimate sacrifice makes it possible for me to have not only eternal life but a full life, right here, right now.

I realized that the longer and harder THIS life continues, the MORE I/WE have need of Him!!!
I remember reading the true words of a long deceased Prophet of God,
MARTIN LUTHER:
