Last week's newsletter went to press while the Sunday events were underway. An impressive line-up of Gunnies completed the 23km half-marathon - Jay Macken, Kate Macken, Simon Bernard, Lisa Green, Nick Chapman, James Joynson, Tanya Hughes, Jackie Clargo, Rob Clancy - I hope I haven't missed anyone. Well done!
A special mention goes to Emma Bassett, who smashed the 60km Ultramarathon in 5 hours 2 minutes, for 3rd placed woman and 10th overall. Congratulations! This was Emma's 11th Ultramarathon (you kept that one pretty quiet Emma!) and her fastest, the others being trail runs.
Also congrats to Paul Dobryden, who clocked up his 6th win in his age category in the 14km run.
It was a fantastic weekend with at least 28 Gunnies competing and others there to cheer us on. No doubt we're all making our bookings for next year!

Is there interest in a 'Couch to 5k' program?
We want to gauge interest from people who are just starting with running or want to get back into running, and have been put off coming to Gunn Runners because they are not ready to tackle 3.5km or 5km. If there is enough interest we will look to partner with someone offering a program, and support this at our Tuesday evening runs. Please contact info@gunnrunners.com.au if you are interested.

Weekly Run Info
Tuesday night runs are 5km or 3.5km. Cost is $5 which includes a free beer or wine afterwards. Meet at the Limerick Arms at 6:15pm for a 6:30pm start. Stay around for a meal afterwards. Public transport to Limerick Arms is tram no. 12 (stop no. 129) or tram no. 1 (stop 24).
