Greetings!
Additional Great Resources for
Your Education and Outreach
The Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture have worked together to develop a terrific series of food safety booklets for people who are at greatest risk for foodborne illness, including older adults, cancer patients, and those who are pregnant or living with HIV/AIDS. These are made available through the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN).

The even better news: In addition to downloading PDFs, you can request that a limited number of hard copies of these booklets be mailed to you.
To order, visit the CFSAN Education Resource Library. Then, in the options form on the left side of the page, check the boxes for:

  • Food Safety
  • Consumers/General Public
  • Orderable Hardcopies

Click “Apply” and you will see a list of booklets available to order. Enter the desired quantity of each title in the box to the right, then click "Add." When you're done selecting booklets and quantities, click "View Cart" and complete the checkout process.

Each 20-page booklet explains why food safety is critical for a specific at-risk population, as well as how to choose low-risk foods and handle food safely.

Get these and other great titles!

Of course, there are always dozens of great resources on our website, fightbac.org.
