Morgan County Job Fair
MCEDC hosted the first Morgan County Job Fair on March 15th at the County Fairgrounds in Martinsville. Thanks all employers, job seekers, and volunteers who participated!
Study: Jobs following Hoosiers, not vice versa
New research suggests a "major switch" in recent years when it comes to where employers are choosing to locate. The study finds that Hoosiers are no longer seeking communities with abundant job opportunities as they did in the 1970s. Instead, businesses and available jobs have begun to gravitate toward the places where people want to live.

This program uses a mutual selection process to match companies with Purdue University students from a wide variety of academic disciplines who can assist in research, product development, process improvement, marketing, sales, and other company needs.

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that the route following State Road 37 between Martinsville and Indianapolis best meets the I-69 performance measures while minimizing cost and impacts to the human and natural environment. INDOT will host public meetings Monday, April 4, at Perry Meridian High School and Tuesday, April 5, at Martinsville High School to collect additional public input on the route recommendation.
