Mazal Tov to

It is once again our Rosh Chodesh Gathering this Shabbat, March 17. Pnina Mazor will be leading with a timely topic.
As we search to get rid of our chametz before Pesach, it is a good time to revisit our traits, virtues and beliefs in our lives. We will reflect on traits that are important to us and our values. Please RSVP and bring a partner to share in the learning. Each month we learn about a new topic through
Chavruta
study. We meet one half hour into the Kiddush in one of the classrooms at Moriah. We gather for education, friendship and of course, more food.
We are taking part in a pre-Pesach food drive to donate everyone's chametz as they clean out for Pesach. A donation box will be out
March 19-25.
Please bring in non-perishable items to donate to the Deerfield Food Pantry.
*Please respect our observance of Shabbat and refrain from using your phone at any time anywhere in the building. If there is a reason that you must use your phone, we ask that you please leave the building.

iEngage: Israel's Milestones and Their Meanings
A Shalom Hartman Institute Lecture and Study Series
Led by Rabbi Kramer
Through video lectures, text study, and lively group discussion, we are pleased to bring the world-renowned faculty of the Shalom Hartman Institute
into the Moriah community. Monday Evenings / 7:30 - 9:00 pm / April 9 - June 4
iEngage: Israel's Milestones and Their Meanings explores the pivotal events of 1917, 1947, and 1967 as key moments when Zionism unleashed new thinking about the meaning of Jewishness for generations to come. Memory is a central element in defining modern Jewish identity. As we look to Israel's future, we need to engage anew with our past and explore its meanings and consequences. This iEngage series grapples with the different ideas and values that shape the meaning of modern Israel, Zionism, and Jewish identity today. Together we will engage in a new values-based discourse about Israel, including topics such as: nationhood, land, Sovereignty, Jerusalem, Occupation and Moral Red Lines. Each session includes text study and discussion with Rabbi Kramer, and video lectures with leading Hartman scholars.
You are strongly encouraged to bring your children to learn with you.

Moriah has a loop system available for individuals using hearing aids, to improve communication access for our members and guests with hearing loss. To access this system, tell your audiologist or hearing instrument specialist that your synagogue is "looped" and ask if there is a t-coil in your hearing aid(s). Then make an appointment to have it activated. If your hearing aids do not have a t-coil, talk with him/her about alternate ways of accessing the loop.
