Pumpkin Festival Registrations Open
The following  registrations are now open for the 50th Annual Morton Pumpkin Festival from September 14-17, 2016.

Princess Pageant Registration To Open
If you know a 5 or 6 year old princess, mark your calendars! Registrations for a chance to participate in the 2016 Pumpkin Princess Pageant will be accepted from Monday, June 6, at 9 am, through Thursday, June 9, at 5 pm. Registration can be done at the Chamber's office or online.  Ten contestants will be drawn from the registrants on Friday, June 10, to participate in this year's pageant!

Entrepreneur News from Startup Peoria
Startup Peoria's KeyStart initiative is a two-part competition for early stage, scalable businesses to get  $10,000  in investment capital.  Part one is  an  online application. P art two is a public event at which the finalists present their business model and strategy to a panel of judges.

Fill out the online application by June 3. A selection committee will determine the finalists. Those finalists will be invited to participate in the live pitch event on June 30, 2016, with $10,000 on the line!
Pavers Still Available for Memorial Plaza
Construction is underway on the Plaza and it should be finished in time for Pumpkin Festival. You can purchase memorial pavers for as little as $100.

HR Roundtable: Peoria Group
The Peoria Group HR Roundtable will be on Thursday, June 9, from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm. The Roundtables provide groups of human resources professionals an opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss problems, look for solutions, and discuss important issues in the regulatory environment with peers. The Downtown Dining Stroll will be on June 2 from 5:00 - 7:30 pm. Join your friends and neighbors in downtown Morton to sample creations from local restaurants, live music by Brandon Mooberry & Friends, and a beer garden. Tickets on sale for $1 each. Tickets are available at the corner of Main and Adams. 

The 3rd Annual Super Hero Day will be downtown on Saturday, June 11, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

The All American Girl Day will be downtown on Saturday, June 18, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
