Welcome Lenora Fisher, Community Development Director
Lenora Fisher is joining our team as Community Development Director for the Economic Development Council and Chamber of Commerce. She will be focusing on business assistance, website data and marketing, workforce initiatives an d community projects. Lenora's extensive background in public engagement, small business marketing and development, and grant experience will be welcomed to our organizations. 
 
"I am excited about working with Morton businesses, entrepreneurs, and residents to ensure continued success and economic growth", said Lenora. " As a military kid, I've traveled all over the world and seen a lot of communities.  Morton stands out as a place that has stood the tests of time and has shown great leadership in helping people and businesses thrive.  I look forward to getting to know it better, understanding the strengths of the community and working with those strengths to ensure further success now and into the future."

Illinois Senator Brady and the Illinois Chamber of Commerce at Freedom Hall to share legislative updates along with briefings on upcoming bills impacting business, health, education and infrastructure.

Congressman LaHood and the US Chamber of Commerce at Freedom Hall to share legislative updates along with briefings on upcoming bills impacting business, health, education and infrastructure.

Save the Date: Memorial Plaza Dedication
Finishing touches to the Memorial Plaza are in process.
A ceremony to dedicate the Plaza to our community is scheduled for Memorial Day, May 29 at 11:00 am. Immediately following this dedication, the American Legion will have a Veteran's Ceremony.
