Isn't it nice to have a president-elect who is not afraid to say those words? My name is Mark Franks and I am the new Chairman for the Okaloosa County Republican Executive Committee. I am a conservative Republican who was
born and raised in Okaloosa County. I have served as the Okaloosa Republican Club President in 2009/2010 and again this year. I also served as the Legislative Committee Chair for OCREC and worked with the Florida Trump team as well as State and local campaigns in 2016. One of my goals as Chairman is to help bring unification to our county party.
I'm excited about what we can accomplish in the next two years by working together.
I was recently interviewed by a reporter who asked if the county party was going to sit back and relax now that we won the national election. I kindly informed her that we have municipal elections in 2017, a Governor's race as well as a U.S. Senate race on top of local elections in 2018. There will be very little relaxing going on. We will be working hard to promote the Republican Party in Okaloosa and some of our focus areas will be fundraising, volunteer training, increasing voter registration and candidate recruitment.
