Dear Tea Lovers, Festival Supporters and Friends,

We're still recovering from our super-busy Opening Weekend, but we're excited that our 2012 Tea Lovers Festival in Los Angeles is continuing throughout the month of May with several more great Educational & Cultural Programs. Each week this month, the e-Newsletter will keep you updated on what's happening, both as part of our festival, as well as on some other tea-related activities around town. We hope to see you -- just make sure that you register in advance for our programs, so you can get our fabulous Tea Lovers Tote full of tea goodies from our sponsors. Tea Lovers Festival: May 13, 2012 SUNDAY, MAY 13, 2012 at Royal/T in Culver City
Mother's Day Tea Festivities: 1:00 - 5:00 pm

>  Performance by our favorite Madame Chocolat (1:00 pm, FREE)
>  Tea With Mommy & Me with Sarita Gomez (1:30 pm, see below)*
>  Kids-Love-Tea-Too program: painting with tea and tea pot decorating (3:00 pm, FREE)

The creator of the fantastical Wonderland Tea & Etiquette at our 2010 festival is putting on a Mother's Day twist to this festive tea etiquette
class, full of fun stories and equipped with props, Victorian hats and of course delicious teas, plus tea sandwiches, scones and sweets. Enjoy learning about the history of high-tea, while giving mom a unique tea experience to treasure for years to come.

Time: 1:30pm   Duration: 1.5hrs   Maximum Attendance: 12
Price: $40/for two > $35 (or less) for Tea Lovers Festival Members*


*Advance registrations for May 13th end at midnight May 11th. Only on-site registrations will be available on the day of the event.

Auxiliary Programming: Week 02 MAY 12, 2012: A Taste of Paris in LA

Our own tea etiquette expert Sarita Gomez, who's conducting Tea With Mommy & Me at 1:30pm on Mother's Day (see above), will also be leading this hands-on chocolate making workshop in a beautiful chocolate factory in Beverly Hills. Meet the chocolatiere, who will show you the secrets of tempering with cacao and making your own chocolate treats. Learn the history of chocolate, enjoy a Parisian lunch, get recipes and pair these desserts with delicious teas. 818.632.3632 

 

MAY 12, 2012: Mother's Day Weekend Lunch at Jin Patisserie in Venice

Due to popular demand for Mother's Day weekend, master dessert chef and founder of Jin Patisserie, Kristy Choo, who's competing in our Battle of the Bakers on May 19, has added on an extra day for her popular Mother's Day lunch.
