JULY 2017
With just a month and a half remaining in the summer season, Mount Prospect Ice Arena is looking to finish strong as it nears its one year anniversary since the doors first opened on Saturday, August 27th, 2016. The ice arena continues to host a variety of different camps, clinics, programs, and summer offerings including the newly added Adult Open Hockey sessions. This newsletter features Ryan Zanon, Assistant General Manager of Mount Prospect Ice Arena, the U.S. Paralympic Sled-Hockey Team Skates, the Northwest Chargers Hockey Association, the Chicago Blackhawks Warriors vs. Chicago Blackhawks Blind Hockey Team benefit game, the Mt. Prospect Fourth of July Parade, and the Chicago Blackhawks Youth Hockey Camp.
MEET THE STAFF
Each month, we will take the opportunity to highlight one of the ice arena's employees. They will be asked both work-related and non work-related questions. We hope that this will help familiarize you with some of the people at the facility. This month's employee spotlight features Ryan Zanon, Assistant General Manager of Mount Prospect Ice Arena.

NORTHWEST CHARGERS HOCKEY ASSOCIATION

The Northwest Chargers Hockey Association is a premier Tier II travel program in the Northwest Suburbs. The association features Squirt, PeeWee, Bantam and Midget level players that compete in the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL) and the Central States Development Hockey League (CSDHL). Their Jr. Chargers Program features Mite level players participating in the Chicago United Hockey League (CUHL). The association's Co-President, Michele Voris, had this to say about the organization, "As we enter our 35th year as an organization, and as our growth as a hockey club climbs to record levels, we are so very fortunate to have a significant presence in the Mount Prospect Ice Arena. The addition of this rink into the hockey community has been a tremendous upgrade. The facility is second-to-none and the family atmosphere it bodes directly complements the Chargers program." If anyone is interested in joining their travel hockey program, please contact their hockey director, Tim Mueller at [email protected] . Their 2017-2018 Fall/Winter tryout registration is now open. MOUNT PROSPECT FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
Mount Prospect Ice Arena participated in this year's Fourth of July Parade to create awareness about our state of the art sports facility. Pictured above is our very own Uncle Sam driving the Buddig sponsored Zamboni through the streets of Mt. Prospect. Staff members and volunteers handed out a variety of items including candy and pucks. We hope that all who participated and attended the event had an enjoyable holiday!

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS YOUTH HOCKEY CAMP

Mount Prospect Ice Arena will be hosting a Chicago Blackhawks Youth Hockey Camp beginning July 24th and ending July 28th.
