ATHENA Nominations

Mountain View Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 26th Annual ATHENA Award and the 8th Annual ATHENA Young Professional Award. Created to honor an outstanding Mountain View leader and Chamber member, this award will be presented to a woman and young female professional who has attained and personified the highest level of professional excellence in business and the community. Nominate an outstanding woman for this award. Deadline to submit has been extended. The ATHENA Awards will be presented at a luncheon on Thursday, October 12th.

Mountain View City Council is Back in Session

Did you know the Mountain View City Council is back from summer break? The next council meeting is September 5, 2017, at 6:30 pm in council chambers, 500 Castro Street. Interested Mountain View Citizens are entitled to speak for up to three minutes on any agenda action item. To view the agenda click:  here

If you are not able to attend in person, council meetings are cablecast live on channel 26 on the Mountain View Comcast cable system and replayed on Thursday at 6:30pm, Saturday at 10am and Sunday at 5pm following that week's council meeting.

Save the Date: We are very excited to announce the first ever Scholarship Mountain View Fundraising dinner
Thursday, November 16th, 2017 .

Our big audacious goal for the 2018 scholarship round is to raise $200,000 with a vision to make this a 4 year scholarship program. This goal is in response to the following question:
What happens if our scholarship students complete their first year
and then don’t have the money to continue their education? 
Then we haven't gotten them far enough.

Our goal of $200,000 for 2018 will enable MVCOCEF to give 10 Mountain View resident High School seniors, $5,000 each year for 4 years...  More

The 46th Annual Art & Wine Festival is next weekend Saturday, September 9th from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm and Sunday, September 10th from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.  Leadership Mountain View will once again be staffing water and sangria booths. This is one of our largest fundraisers and we are STILL looking for our LMV Alumni to volunteer to staff our booths.

Bachelor’s Degrees at no cost to people who live and work in Mountain View. That’s right, a free college degree. If you have some college credit or are just getting started on a degree, Mountain View Working Scholars is for you.
