On the first Friday of each month from March through December, Historic Downtown Florence comes alive with art, music, shopping and entertainment for the whole family! Enjoy the sights and sounds around every corner - dine in one of our fine restaurants - shop at our galleries and stores - or take a leisurely stroll to enjoy one-of-a-kind arts and the finest live music around!

Florence's historic Popes Tavern Museum presents the 28th annual Frontier Day Celebration on Saturday, June 4th and Sunday, June 5th. Relive the frontier heritage of Florence with crafts, music, period costumes, and food. Celebration hours are 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, and 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday. Admission is free!

Doggie Iditarod

A fundraiser to help pets in need at the

Florence-Lauderdale and Colbert Animal Shelters

Get your doggie cart out and take it for a test run! Sherry St. John's Doggie Iditarod is coming to town on Saturday, June 18th at 10 am in the Florence-Lauderdale Coliseum Parking Lot. Place your dog in a shopping cart (we'll provide) and race around our fun obstacle course created by WPI General Contractors. Come by and cheer everyone on and don't miss this furry fantastic fundraiser!
