As a part of Mt. Horeb and as brothers and sisters in the global body of Christ, knowing and understanding what we believe is extraordinarily important for maintaining unity and reaching others with the Gospel. Core is an eight week series dedicated expressly to these crucial truths, values and standards. This is a particularly important time for the body of Christ across the globe and a tremendously important time for the Mt. Horeb family to strengthen our unity as we learn and continue to adopt these core truths. Don't miss out!

Pastor Jeff Kersey will be preaching on "Truth Is Essential" in the Traditional Service this Sunday and Pastor Trevor Miller will be preaching on "Above and Beyond" in the Contemporary Service. Remember during this series, our pastors will be alternating venues so that each service learns about each of our core values.

Disaster Relief

Thank you so much for your generosity and sacrifice on behalf of those affected by Hurricane Harvey. We're so proud that Mt. Horeb is a family of such kind, caring believers. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to send $18,000 to Somebody Cares, an organization on the ground in Houston. Please continue to pray for protection, healing, and the all-encompassing comfort of Jesus' love to restore what was lost and grow the Kingdom of God.

With Hurricane Irma ripping up the Caribbean and bearing down on Florida, we are actively monitoring the situation to decide best how to mobilize our church and assist the massive amounts of people affected. While our hearts are heavy and anxious to help those in the midst of disaster, we want to wait until the threat of Hurricane Irma passes so that we can better assess what's needed and how to help. We will be consulting with experienced disaster relief professionals with accurate insight so that we can best steward the generous resources given to Mt. Horeb. Look for more information next week on ways to serve.
