April 21st, 2017

We love a good before and after, don't we? This is why the television show featuring Chip and Joanna Gaines has become a runaway hit! To see a house go from shabby to chic, from broken to whole, is exciting. But when transformation happens in someone's life, it is even better. Even when we can't see what could be, God can identify a fixer upper and He does great work! Come and join us this Sunday with your friends and family for a full life renovation - to find out how letting God into your life can change everything and give you life to the fullest. Pastor Nick Cunningham will be teaching in the Auditorium and Rev. Drew Martin will be in the Sanctuary.

Join us for a reception immediately following the 10:45 services in the cafĂ© to meet Rev. Drew Martin and his family. We are excited to have them as part of our Mt. Horeb family.

The Reception

Acts chapter 2 tells us that the early church was in the habit of eating together with glad and sincere hearts. Essentially, they knew how to throw a great party. We hope you will join us on May 21st for what we are calling "The Reception" - a church-wide event celebrating the church as we enjoy one of the greatest gifts given to us by Jesus - each other. You will not want to miss this evening of food, fellowship and fun. Register online now. The cost is ten dollars per person with children under 12 free.

Operation Christmas Child

In order to provide families with the opportunity to participate in OCC at different times of the year and to increase our impact in the world, this year, we will collect specific items at specific times during the year. The items collected will be stored until October when our M Kids program will host a large packing party to place the collected items into individual boxes for delivery to a child somewhere in the world. These boxes will be used as a tool to spread the good news of Jesus Christ and the true meaning of Christmas to children throughout the world.

The April collection item is a new small toy that will fit in a shoebox. Examples include a jump rope,  a toy car, a small doll, a small stuff animal or playing cards. Items will be collected on April 23rd and 30th.  Please place the toy in one of the collection barrels located at the M Kids check-in stations.
