May 5th, 2017

It wouldn't be hard for any of us to admit that it is possible for things to look great on the outside but on the inside be a complete mess. A life of duplicity can leave you feeling like two different people and exhausted.  How do we deal with our duplicity and move into the undivided life that Jesus offers us? Join us on Sunday at one of our five services and find out. Reverend Ed McDowell will be teaching in the Sanctuary and Pastor Nick Cunningham will be in the Auditorium.

Children's Musical

The Musical Treasure Island will be presented by our Children's Choir, Saturday evening, May 6 th  at 6 PM in the Sanctuary. Treasure Island teaches how we search for riches in the Kingdom of God.  " For Where Your Treasure Is, there your heart will be also " Luke 12:34. This musical adventure will help kids young and old discover the everlasting value of storing up treasures in heaven and continually seeking God.

Doors will open at 5:30. Following the program there will be a reception for the children in the narthex.

The Reception

Acts chapter 2 tells us that the early church was in the habit of eating together with glad and sincere hearts. Essentially, they knew how to throw a great party. We hope you will join us on May 21st for what we are calling "The Reception" - a church-wide event celebrating the church- a big party! You will not want to miss this evening of food, fellowship, games and even some dancing. Register online now. The cost is ten dollars per person with children under 12 free.

Circles USA Meeting

Mt. Horeb has joined forces with Circles USA in the hopes to eliminate poverty in our community and even our state. We know this will not be an easy task but we want to do our part in helping those in need. If you would like to know more about how you could be a part of this, please join us for an informational meeting on May 7th from 10:20-10:45 in the Conference Room located in the Auditorium.

Next Step
