Arts on Terry

When the Patchogue Arts Council (PAC) was founded in 2008, Artspace Patchogue was only just in its planning stage. The many artists and art supporters already living and working in Patchogue wanted to create a welcoming atmosphere for the future resident artists. The PAC board came to realize its mission was to create an organization that would support, promote, and encourage the arts in Patchogue.

We stood at the future location of Artspace and brainstormed a street fair to brand this location, Terry Street, as a place where the arts happened. We named the event Arts on Terry. Due to logistical challenges, PAC went on instead to produce the hugely successful first Patchogue Arts Biennial at Briarcliffe College.

Now, in 2016, eight years and many events under our wings, the timing is perfect. Co-sponsoring and co-creating Arts on Terry with Artspace Patchogue seemed like the natural progression. Join us for this one day event filled with the arts on May 15 from 11:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Creatively yours,
