Abrupt increases in training duration, intensity and/or frequency of physical activity without adequate periods for rest and recovery can lead to micro cracks or stress fractures.  This is because the rate of bone healing or recovery is unable to keep up with the rate of breakdown that is caused by the repetitive stress placed upon it.  Proper recovery requires rest from intense training along with proper nutrition.

NEWS

This was year that the K-Town Triathlon was under the umbrella of MultiSport Canada and we had an incredible day of racing. We look forward to continuing the long tradition of triathlon in Kingston for many years to come.

Many of the top elites got into the spirit of the Retro Day and raced in their Retro gear for this fun day on this classic challenging Muskoka course. Lionel Sanders took a break from 70.3 racing to take the overall victory.

While Saturday showcased the Sprint distance and Give-It-A-Tri at Bracebridge, Sunday featured the 2014 Olympic Distance Provincial Championships that served as a qualifier for the 2015 Canadian National Team. Sean Bechtel and Angela Quick grabbed the overall men's and women's titles.

Please thank them for supporting the sports of Triathlon and Duathlon by trying and using their products.

If you do visit them please take a moment to thank them for supporting Triathlon, Duathlon and Kids races in Ontario.
