John 13: 16
Very truly, I tell you, servants are not greater than their master, nor are messengers greater than the one who sent them. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them...

New Revised Standard Version, copyright 1989, by the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States.

I read a reflection today on this scripture and it resonated in me as I thought of our work as ministers of the church. We are not performers and our end goal is not our music nor ourselves as musicians!  We have been given the talent of song to lead and to point others to our creator!

Think about:
             Form me to be less,
               So YOU may be more....

It is helpful to step back and look at this "big picture".  Let's renew our passion to serve and our dedication to lifting up the hearts of others in prayer - to keep our eyes fixed on God!  This inspires me so very much!  We all have our moments when we find ourselves putting too much emphasis and attention on small details that close our hearts and minds to our ultimate goal.

I hope this week finds you well and enjoying our beautiful world around us.  Jesus is present in our lives - look around - we are blessed.

I look forward to seeing you at Mass.

Blessings!
Kathleen
