Hello again everybody!
Happy February!
Fresh back from The Panama Jazz Festival,
I'm enjoying a busy month with quite a few shows. I'm excited to be using all of the genre specific guitar skill sets I've worked on over the years,
as I play a little bit of everything this month!
This weekend is a classical guitar concert with a full orchestra. I'll be playing Jazz on Valentine's Day at a new club in Venice. Then, I have a rock/soul show at The
Hollywood House of Blues and, as always, plenty
of R&B with Shea Welsh & Friend's at Pips on LaBrea.

At The City of Knowledge
The Panama Jazz Fest turned out to be an incredible experience! Michelle Coltrane and I spent a
week in Panama giving clinics to the emerging
generation of Panamanian musicians, donating new
guitars, strings from GHS, and saxophones to
festival organizer Patricia Zarate for The Danilo Perez Foundation. We attended cocktail parties overlooking
the Panama Canal with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Danilo Perez as special guests. Then, gave a final performance outdoors on the same bill as Ruben Blades! Can't wait to return next year!

I am honored to be playing classical guitar
with full orchestra for a composition by noted
film composer Alex Wurman!
(March of The Penguins, Anchorman)
His beautiful piece is based on selected poems of Robert Frost.
Alex is getting ready for the World Premiere of his show
The Morning of Frost. Written for narrator, voice,
and orchestra, the work features poems woven into
a story, all set to music.
A young boy struggles with his homework, which is to study Great American Poetry. The next day, on his way to school, he wanders into the woods, where he experiences all of the poetry as it comes to life. Contact Shea at the attached e-mail if you want to attend. I'll get you in!
