Hello everybody!

Hope this letter finds you transitioning

well into the new season!

The Summer was quite fruitful for me career wise!

As you'll see below, I was working behind the

scenes to push all of my projects up to the

next level! It worked! I have been named the

Executive director for The Panamanian

Arts/Conservation organization "Junglewood".

Michelle Coltrane and I signed a management deal

with Cadenza Artists! Shea Welsh & Friends,

Diva Thursdays, continues to go strong. We have a great lineup of Divas for September. I played a great show with

the overly musically talented Laws Family

(Eloise, Ronnie and Debra) and I've been asked

to do more with them, so stay tuned for more details!

It's not too early to start thinking about the 2014 USC Summer Guitar Seminar. Details below.

About 5 years ago, I was invited down to Panama by Danilo Perez, Wayne Shorter's keyboard player and one of Panama's favorite sons, and Nathan Gray, Founder of the Conservation Organization Earthtrain, which is the caretaker for 10,000 acres of rainforest in Panama. They were developing a concept for an arts center in the middle of the rainforest that would be the meeting place and synergistic conduit for musicians, environmentalists, visual artists, dancers, and others concerned with the health of the planet. Through the universal language of music and the arts, people from all over the world could come there to help heal and save the planet. I went down and played concerts, gave clinics and visited the beautiful rainforest. I fell in love with all things Panama and could very much see the Junglewood

vision becoming a reality. This year I decided to elevate my commitment and I accepted the position of Executive Director. We have also recently partnered with the legendary naturalist Jane Goodall. So on November 14th, we will be hosting a concert at The Frank Gehry designed Panama Bio Museum that will Celebrate Jane's affiliation with the organization and

my unveiling as the new Executive Director.

I'm very much looking forward to this new chapter in my life!

Masters/Festival of The Arts in Laguna Beach!
