A Personal Note from Susan

Yes, I do believe that everything legal in moderation is a good thing.  Over the years I've made it a point not to judge myself or others for choices that we make by labeling them either good or bad.  I've also learned that most everything, in moderation, really is good for you.

This past weekend, my Prince Charming and I enjoyed a little escape to a local horse track and casino.  As you can see we enjoyed our beautiful ride too!  I've also been recently lucky at another local casino on St. Patrick's Day, another pic from that experience.  We consider these experiences to be one of our forms of preferred entertainment.  While others might prefer a live performance, or sporting event, or day at the spa, this is what we enjoy.  We budget for this like we would any other line item.  This allows us to have a good time, stay on budget and not attach any negative feelings toward a healthy dose of gambling.

Being a business owner presents a fair amount of risk as well.  Not knowing for sure how your revenue will be generated, what cash flow will look like month to month, how the economy may impact your business, are all variables that you need to contend with.  My best advice is to take the level of risk that does not cause you to toss and turn at night, and this is different for each of us.

Here's to you enjoying whatever activities bring you joy, in your business and personal life, in moderation with no judgment of self or others!!

Much love,

Logic is our Worst Enemy

am so excited to be sharing with you the concepts  presented in  Quantum Leaps - 7 Skills for Workplace ReCreation by Charlotte Shelton .

Over the next several months, I intend to share with you in more detail,  The Seven Quantum Skills that will enable you to see the world in a new way. This month we explore The Quantum Skill of  Quantum Thinking: The ability to think paradoxically!

Our natural tendency  when faced with a challenge or problem that needs solving is to think logically. The issue with this is we are accessing only a fraction of the possibilities for solving anything.  Quantum reality's ambiguous truth encourages us to continuously live with the possibility of other possibilities. This can open up new levels of creativity. It enables us to quit searching for  right answers and to look instead for new and more  creative solutions

How can you practice this skill in your own personal and professional life?

Next time  you have a financial problem, and your logical mind says work harder; or if you are working on a tight project deadline and  sleeping less feels like the only logical solution...stop, hit pause and give this a try.

The 360 degree imagining! After entering into a state of deep relaxation, imagine putting your current problem/challenge/decision into the middle of a large circle. Now take an imaginary  walk around the circumference of the circle, viewing the issue from a wide variety of perspectives. Upon completing this symbolic walk, step back from the circle and imagine viewing all the options with  fuzzy eyes, allowing them to superimpose one upon the other in a kaleidoscope of ever changing possibilities

I've tried this process recently with a current challenge I am encountering with one of my clients. My logical mind provided very limited options on how to proceed.  Upon completing the above 360 degree imagining, I was smiling from the inside out, the Universe had revealed many, many alternative endings to this challenge, and all of them were extremely positive for all involved. I encourage you to give it a try and let me know what you experience.

Stay tuned for the May issue of my Co-Creator's Corner, where I will expand on the second Quantum Skill - Quantum Feeling - The ability to feel vitally alive.
