Interim Executive Director Announced
To launch the next phase of its commitment to transformation announced in 2016, the National Architectural Accrediting Board has named Helene Combs Dreiling, FAIA, as its interim Executive Director, effective July 25, 2017.

20172018 NAAB Officers Elected at July Meeting

With the appointment of 2017 NAAB President-elect Helene Combs Dreiling, FAIA, as interim executive director, Judith Kinnard, FAIA, has graciously agreed to serve another term as president, through October 2018.


The directors elected the following board members to serve on the 2017–18 executive committee: Kevin Flynn, FAIA, president-elect; Jori Erdman, AIA, NOMA, LEED AP, treasurer; and Thomas R. Wood, AIA, secretary. Their terms will begin at the conclusion of the NAAB Annual Meeting in October.


Together, the new executive director and the executive committee will work to transform the organization and deepen its relationship with the collateral architecture organizations and other industry stakeholders. Congratulations to all!

Online Team Training Update

Online team training for 2018 visits is up and running.

Team members were "enrolled" in the system on June 2. If you are in the pool, please check your JUNK and SPAM folders for a system message with your login information. 


After you login, you will be asked to change your password.

The training is mandatory for anyone who wishes to be nominated for a 2018 visiting team. 

ARS to Open Soon . . . Update Now

Program directors should update their contacts for the 2017 Annual Reporting System now. 


Program heads can log in to the ARS website now to add or remove users. New program administrators should send an email to [email protected] to be added to the system.


The Annual Reporting System is required for all accredited and candidate programs. The data gathered in the fall are used to prepare the NAAB's annual Report on Accreditation in Architecture in the spring.
