2017 Visits Continue
Congratulations to the University of Michigan for wrapping up their visit on January 25.

Currently there are teams visiting the California College of the Arts and Florida Atlantic University.

Thank you to all the volunteers who make up NAAB visiting teams. Each year approximately 120 people contribute 5,000 hours to the profession by serving on NAAB teams.
Accreditation Process Review Task Force
The Accreditation Process Review Task Force (APRTF) has submitted its final report to the NAAB Directors, who will review it at their meeting later this month.

The task force has forwarded 11 recommendations in four areas: process, teams, visits, and evidence.

The over-arching goal of the review is a system for accreditation in architectural education that retains what is successful, reforms what is inefficient, and sets a pattern for consistency and fairness in processes that would also reduce effort and expense by programs; all without sacrificing rigor.
Team Training Refreshers
Everyone assigned to a team for a spring 2017 visit is expected to complete a refresher webinar prior to starting the visit.

There are two sessions still on the schedule. If you attended the January 18 webinar, you do not have to register again; you only need to sign up for one:

All sessions start at 1:00 p.m. ET and last about 30 minutes.

APR Preparation
The next APR Prep webinar is scheduled for April 4 at 2:00 p.m. ET and lasts about 45 minutes. If you're interested but can't make it, register anyway to get the recording.

Also, we will offer a face-to-face edition of the workshop at the ACSA Annual Meeting in Detroit.

Instructions and templates for the APR, course descriptions, faculty resumes, and the Branch Campus Questionnaire are on  the  Program Administrators' page of the NAAB  website.
