July 17: NAAB Board Meeting, Update ARS information, Report on Minority-Serving Institutions
Board Meeting this week
The NAAB will meet July 20-22 in Providence, RI.

On the agenda are 15 accreditation decisions and two program change requests. These decisions are based on visits that took place in Spring 2017.

In addition to accreditation decisions, the board will discuss the International Task force report, elect officers, and consider other new business.
Online Team Training Update

Online team training for 2018 visits is up and running.

Team members were "enrolled" in the system on June 2. If you are in the pool, please check your JUNK and SPAM folders for a system message with your login information.

Once you login, you will be asked to change your password.

The training is mandatory for anyone who wishes to be nominated for a 2018 visiting team.

2016 Report on Architecture Education at Minority-Serving Institutions

The 2016 report covers enrollment, degrees awarded, and faculty characteristics for NAAB-accredited programs at minority-serving institutions (MSIs). In past years, this report provided data only on HBCUs; the 2016 report was expanded to include NAAB-accredited programs at other MSIs.

See all of the 2016 Reports on Architecture Education here.

ARS Update Request

Program Directors: Please update your contacts for the 2017 Annual Report now.

Program heads can log in to the ARS website now to add and remove users. New program administrators should send an email to [email protected] to be added to the system.

The Annual Reporting System is required for all accredited and candidate programs. The statistical information gathered in the fall is used for the NAAB Reports on Architecture Education in the spring.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action).

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
