UPCOMING TOURNEYS

We realize most NABA players have put away the equipment for the year, but now is the time to start thinking about the 2011 tournament season.

First up on the 2011 tournament calendar are the California Kickoff Classic and the Boricua Caribbean Classic. Both tournaments are wood-bat events that will be played during the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Weekend from January 15-17. The California Kickoff will be played in the greater Los Angeles area, while the Boricua heads to exotic Puerto Rico.

To reserve a spot in either tournament, a $350 deposit must be received by January 6. No teams will be accepted after January 7. To register, click on the tournament links above or call the NABA National Office at (800) 621-6479.

If you would like to be a pool player for either tournament, or any NABA tournament in 2011, go to the Sign Up and Play link at dugout.org.

NEW TOURNAMENT PRICING

Most important, the NABA has changed its tournament pricing structure for 2011. Tournament team fees now will be determined by how many players a team has on its roster. The change was made to help teams budget more efficiently with regard to tournament registration. The new pricing structure follows*:

Team Fee: $1,295.00 (Teams with 12 players or less)
Team Fee: $1,495.00 (Teams with 13 to 17 players)

Team Fee: $1,795.00 (Teams with 18 to 25 players)

*Some tournaments might vary slightly. Please be sure to check the individual tournament page for details.
The pricing structure for the Phoenix and Florida World Championship Series will be released later.
