The Women's Media Center report "The Status of Women of Color in the U.S. News Media 2018" offers a rare look at where women journalists of color are - and aren't - in legacy print, radio, TV, and digital news.
Bloomberg
Allen's Entertainment Studios Inc. bought the network from Blackstone Group, Bain Capital and Comcast Corp., according to a statement Thursday. The price was approximately $300 million, according to a person familiar with the terms who wasn't authorized to speak publicly and asked not to be identified. That's a fraction of what the larger company sold for a decade ago.

Multicultural Marketing Resources
Women of color make up just 3% of the C-suite (71% are still white men) as a study from LeanIn.Org and McKinsey & Co. describes it. There's a "political ambition gap" according to a Women's Caucus report called Not Making it Here: Why Women are Underrepresented in the NYC Council, a stunning reflection of how things are no less than from the world's capital.
Vanity Fair
The business world has long been a boys' club. Women C.E.O.s and founders of color make up a small portion of entrepreneurs who have reached the top. Each one of the women in this group tableau has raised $1 million or more in outside capital, breaking barriers and shattering glass ceilings along the way.

Besides listing the many titles Williams wears -- record-breaker, icon, mogul, wife, mother -- the brief clip shows Williams working out while pregnant, spending time with baby Alexis Olympia, exchanging vows with her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, making business decisions for her brand and, of course, smashing balls on the tennis court.
